How to order
What we need from you, what you get back, and what happens between the first message and the loaded container. No steps hidden behind a sales call.
1 · Send the specification
The fastest quote comes from one message containing: item, size in mm, ply, gsm, sheet or pull count, pack (film or carton), packs per carton, first-order quantity, destination port and the Incoterm you buy on. If you already sell the item, a photo of the pack you use today is worth more than a paragraph.
2 · Get the quotation in writing
The quotation states the unit price, the price basis, what is included (print, pack, carton, pallet), the lead time from deposit or L/C, the MOQ for that item, and the validity. If something is not included, it is written down rather than discovered at the port.
3 · Payment
T/T and L/C are both accepted. The split is fixed on the proforma invoice: usually a deposit to book the line and the balance against the documents. For a first order with a new buyer we work to the terms written on the proforma and we do not change them mid-production.
4 · Sample and proof
Stock items can be sampled directly. Printed work needs a proof before the press is booked, and a physical sample where the print or the pack finish is the point of the order. Sample cost is quoted up front.
5 · Production, inspection, loading
We run the order, inspect against the approved sample, and send loading photos with the container number. Documents travel with the shipment: invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificates of origin where the destination requires them.
Practical terms
These are the terms we quote most often. Anything item-specific is confirmed in the quotation.
| Item | Term |
|---|---|
| Payment | T/T and L/C, split confirmed on the proforma invoice |
| Price basis | FOB China (port confirmed with the quotation); delivered prices quoted on request |
| MOQ | Printed napkins and pocket tissue: from 200 bags. Box tissue, soft pack and commercial hand towel: from 10,000 packs. Kitchen towel: from 10,000 rolls. |
| Lead time | 7–10 days for standard items after deposit and pack confirmation; 20–25 days for custom printing, counted from deposit and approved artwork. |
| Packing | Your artwork, barcode and shipping marks; pallet plan matched to your warehouse |
| Documents | Invoice, packing list, B/L, certificate of origin on request |
What is inside a quotation
A price on its own is not a quotation. Ours is built from the same eight lines every time, so two suppliers can be compared honestly.
| Line | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Unit price and price basis | Per pack, per carton or per ton, and FOB or delivered |
| What is included | Print, pack, carton, pallet, documents — anything outside is listed |
| MOQ for this item | The minimum for your exact spec, not a catalogue number |
| Lead time | Counted from deposit and approved artwork, not from the enquiry |
| Sample cost | What a proof or a physical sample costs, and whether it is credited |
| Plates and dies | One-off cost for your design, if any |
| Payment terms | The split, and against which documents |
| Validity | How long the price holds, and what moves it (pulp, freight, exchange) |
Incoterms in one paragraph
FOB means we deliver the goods on board at the named Chinese port, and your freight forwarder takes it from there — you see the ocean freight as a separate number and you control the forwarder. CIF means we arrange and pay the freight and insurance to your port, which is simpler for a new buyer but hides the freight inside the price. Ask for both when you compare; the difference is the sea freight, and it is the number that moves most.
Documents that travel with the goods
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Bill of lading (original or telex release, as agreed)
- Certificate of origin on request
- Test reports, ISO certificate copy or chain-of-custody documents where the destination asks for them
What actually delays shipments
- Artwork that arrives after the deposit, so the press sits idle
- A barcode or label that does not match the destination’s rules, discovered at the port
- A pallet plan that changes after packing
- Freight booked late in a peak season — a factory problem you inherit even though the factory did its part
Questions we answer most often
What is the price basis?
FOB by default. FOB China — Guangzhou (Nansha or Huangpu) or Shenzhen (Yantian or Shekou), with the port confirmed in the quotation. If you need CIF or a door delivery, say so in the first message and we quote the freight separately so you can see what you are paying for.
What are the payment terms?
T/T and L/C, with the split written on the proforma invoice. We do not change payment terms after production has started.
Can I inspect before loading?
Yes — your inspection or a third-party inspection is welcome before loading, and we arrange the access.
How do I get a sample?
Ask for it with the item and the spec. Stock samples go out quickly; printed samples take print time and are charged at cost.
Tell us the item, the pack and the port
That is enough for a quotation with a real lead time. If you only have half the specification, send half.
